According to doctors, if you climb 40 stairs in 1.5 minutes and you neither get breathless nor tired, then understand that your heart is perfectly healthy. In case of weakness or blockage, even doing a little work increases the pressure of the heart and you start feeling breathless or your heart beats faster.

2. Measure your waist size

A study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association states that if you want to find out the health of your heart or to gauge the risk of a heart attack, then checking your waist size is better than BMI. An estimate says that a waist size of 37 inches for a man and 31.5 inches for a woman is a sign of a weak heart. A waist size of 40 inches in men and 35 inches in women indicate that the heart is facing a serious risk. Obesity puts a lot of pressure on the heart, bad cholesterol increases and this fat can accumulate in the veins and cause blockage.

3. Count your pulse

Pulse is also called pulse rate and heart rate. Heart health can also be determined by counting it. This tells whether there is any blockage in the heart veins or not. Low heart rate can cause shortness of breath and dizziness. One should be alert in such a situation.
