Jammu Kashmir News: Former Jammu and Kashmir CM and National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah has stated in his election affidavit that he does not have any immovable property, while in the name of movable property he has some bank deposits and some jewellery. Omar Abdullah is contesting the assembly elections from Ganderbal seat.
Omar Abdullah filed his nomination on 4 September. After filing the nomination, the Election Commission uploaded his affidavit on its website, according to which Omar Abdullah has only 80 thousand rupees in cash. At the same time, he has movable assets worth Rs 55.24 lakh. He has not disclosed his immovable assets. The movable assets include some bank deposits and jewellery. Omar has jewellery worth a total of Rs 30 lakh.
Omar has neither any land nor any vehicle
Omar Abdullah does not have any loan. He has written ‘NIL’ in most of the columns, while he has not mentioned the names of his three dependents, but instead of details of their properties, he has written ‘Not Applicable’. According to the election affidavit, Omar neither has any piece of land nor has he inherited any property. Also, he does not have any vehicle.
Pension was told as the main source of income
Although he comes from a political family and an influential family of Jammu and Kashmir, he still does not own any immovable property. He has stated the pension he receives as a former MLA and former MP as his main source of income. He has also stated that he has no other source of income. Omar Abdullah has given information about his income in the financial year 2023-24. He has stated that his total income during this period was Rs 14,52,010.
