Now a two-day ultimatum has been given by Hindu organizations. They are demanding action according to the law in this matter.
There is an allegation of building a mosque illegally in Kasumpti too
The impact of Sanjauli was also seen in Kasumpti area of Shimla. People gathered here and protested. Local people allege that a mosque is being built here illegally. People gathered here under the chairmanship of Bharatiya Janata Party councilor Rachna Sharma and former deputy mayor Rakesh Sharma and allegations were made of building the mosque in an illegal manner. People gathered here and also recited Hanuman Chalisa. During this time, a large number of police force was also seen deployed here.
Illegal construction going on in kutcha dhala
Councillor of Kasumpti, Rachna Sharma said that a mosque has been built illegally on a kutcha structure. Nothing is visible from outside, but construction is going on inside. People have raised their voice in this matter earlier also. She said that she has talked to the local administration in this regard. The local administration has asked for two days’ time for this. After this, the situation will be clarified. She said that a large number of people come here to offer namaz, whereas this is not a mosque.
A mosque has already been built- Former Deputy Mayor
Former deputy mayor of the Municipal Corporation Rakesh Sharma said that a mosque is operating illegally at the end of the Chota Shimla ward. Activities have increased here in the last four years. He said that the Waqf Board had leased this land in the name of Sadiq Mohammad’s wife Mumtaz Begum, but their children gave it to people coming from outside. After this, the number of people coming from outside has started increasing here. He said that this property looks like this from outside, but construction work is going on inside it.
Former Deputy Rakesh Sharma said that there is already a mosque at a distance of one kilometer. In such a situation, there is no need to build a mosque here in an illegal manner. He said that everyone wants to live in a harmonious environment.
