Maharashtra-Jharkhand Assembly Election Results 2024: The counting of votes for the assembly elections held in two states of the country, Maharashtra and Jharkhand, has started today at 8 am on Saturday (23 November). On one hand, voting was held on all 288 seats in Maharashtra in one phase (20 November). On the other hand, in Jharkhand, voting was held in two phases (13 and 20 November). During this time, initial trends of both the states have also started emerging, according to which counting of ballot boxes has started in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. According to this maharashtra assembly elections BJP candidates are leading from Pune camp in 2024. Whereas Congress MLA is leading from Godinya, his name is Gopaldas. In this way, till now BJP is leading on 1 seat and Congress on 2 seats. Whereas in Jharkhand, JMM is leading by sacks, where Dhansanjay Soren is leading.

Eknath Sinde is leading from Kopri seat of Maharashtra. According to the latest data, in the initial trends in Maharashtra, BJP alliance is ahead on 35 seats and Congress alliance is ahead on 22 seats. Whereas in Jharkhand, BJP alliance is ahead on 20 seats and JMM alliance is ahead on 16 seats.

This time in Maharashtra, all eyes are on the outcome of the contest between the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), which is trying to return to power. Election officials said that the final turnout in the voting held on November 20 was 66.05 percent. Whereas in 2019 this figure was 61.1 percent. The lowest turnout was in Mumbai at 52.07 percent. In the grand alliance, Bharatiya Janata Party had fielded candidates on 149 assembly seats, Shiv Sena on 81 seats and Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) had fielded candidates on 59 constituencies. In Jharkhand, all eyes are on the outcome of the contest between the ruling INDIA Bloc and the BJP which is trying to return to power.

Exit polls of Maharashtra and Jharkhand
In most of the exit polls (post-election surveys) that came after the completion of voting for the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led alliance is likely to get majority. However, the survey of ‘Axis My India’ has predicted the return of ‘India’ coalition government in Jharkhand. Its assessment is that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led alliance can get 53 seats out of 81, while the BJP-led NDA can get 25 seats.
