LIC Agents: LIC agents are living a miserable life, it has become difficult to even meet monthly expenses


Life Insurance Corporation: The country’s largest insurance company, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), while announcing the results for the financial year 2024, had informed that it has made a net profit of Rs 40,676 crore. The public sector company’s profit had jumped by 12 percent. In the financial year 2023, the company’s net profit was Rs 36,397 crore. LIC is considered one of the strongest companies in the country. It has a huge cash reserve. But, LIC agents who bring this business to the company are living a miserable life. Their monthly income is not even enough to easily run the household expenses. Their maximum income is only Rs 20,446.

LIC gave information to the Finance Ministry

According to the information given by Life Insurance Corporation to the Finance Ministry, the average monthly income of LIC agents is the highest in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Here too, this figure is Rs 20,446 per month. Here LIC has the least number of agents, only 273. In Himachal Pradesh, LIC agents are able to earn an average of Rs 10,328 per month. In this hilly state, the income of LIC agents is the lowest among all states and union territories. LIC has 12,731 agents in Himachal Pradesh.

Most number of agents in UP, earning only 11,887 thousand rupees

According to the data of LIC, 13,90,920 agents are associated with it across the country. Most of them are in Uttar Pradesh. Here about 1.84 lakh agents are associated with this public sector company. Their average monthly income is also only Rs 11,887 thousand. In Maharashtra, 1.61 lakh agents are associated with the insurance company, who are able to earn an average of only Rs 14,931 per month. The situation is not good in West Bengal either. Here the average monthly income of 1,19,975 agents of LIC is Rs 13,512. 87,347 agents from Tamil Nadu are earning Rs 13,444, 81,674 agents from Karnataka are earning Rs 13,265, 75,310 agents from Rajasthan are earning Rs 13,960, 63,779 agents from Madhya Pradesh are earning Rs 11,647 and 40,469 agents from Delhi NCR are earning Rs 15,169 on an average every month.
