Afzal Ansari demands cancellation of proceedings on controversial ganja statement, petition filed in HC

SP MP Afzal Ansari has filed a petition in Allahabad High Court regarding the controversial ganja statement. In this petition, he has demanded to cancel the case proceedings of the case going on in MP MLA Special Court, Ghazipur. This matter may be heard next week. MP MLA Special Court has taken cognizance of the seat after filing by the police.

Controversy over SP MP’s statement

There was a huge uproar regarding this statement of Afzal Ansari. The saints had expressed strong objection to this. At the same time, workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal also protested against him, after which the police took suo motu cognizance of the matter and lodged an FIR in the Kotwali police station of Ghazipur.

After completion of the investigation of this case, the police has filed the charge sheet, MP MLA Special Court Ghazipur has taken cognizance of the charge sheet. Now Afzal Ansari has filed a petition in the High Court regarding this matter and has demanded to cancel the proceedings of this case. The petition may be heard next week.
