‘Will not join hands with any party for alliance in assembly elections’, this party announced

MP Election News: A top functionary of Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JYS), a tribal organization that has announced to contest 80 seats in Madhya Pradesh assembly elections to be held later this year, said on Tuesday (May 16) that the organization is not looking for any electoral alliance. Will not even spread hands in front of political party.

On the 10th foundation day of the organization, Jayas’s national patron Heeralal Alava told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ in Indore that tribals are self-respecting. You will not see a single person from our community begging with a bowl. We will not extend our hands to any party for an alliance in the upcoming assembly elections. We are preparing to contest elections on our own to establish tribal leadership in the state.

He told that JAIS has plans to contest elections by fielding independent candidates on 80 assembly seats in the state, which includes 47 seats reserved for tribal communities. He told that there are 33 other seats where there are 30,000 to 50,000 tribal voters. It is worth mentioning that Jayas had made a political alliance with the Congress during the 2018 assembly elections in the state and was elected MLA on Congress ticket from Manawar area of ​​tribal-dominated Dhar district.

Did not disclose electoral alliance with any party
However, as the countdown for the upcoming assembly elections began, Alava did not give a direct answer to the question whether Jayas would remain with the Congress in these elections or switch sides and join hands with the BJP? He said that right now we are working as an independent leadership of the tribals. In the future, if we enter into an electoral alliance with any party, then it will be based on the agreement we reach with the concerned party on issues of tribal interest.

Apart from this, he termed it as a ‘rumour’ that his closeness with BJP is increasing. Jayas patron said that we are not close to any political party. It is noteworthy that Jayas had come into the limelight in the political circles a few months before the last assembly elections in the state. The organization formed by highly educated tribal youths is currently not registered with the Election Commission as a political party.
